In short

Drone photogrammetry is the process of turning hundreds of overlapping aerial photographs into measurable, survey-referenced products — a 2D orthomosaic map, a digital surface model, and a 3D mesh. Agriflyte provides FAA Part 107 certified photogrammetry and orthomosaic mapping for construction and development sites across Norman and the greater Oklahoma City metro.

Who it’s for

Built for the people who have to make the call.

01

General contractors

Verify dirt against design without pulling a crew off work.

02

Civil engineers

Current surface data to design and check against.

03

Land developers

Due diligence on raw ground before it goes under contract.

04

Surveyors

Supplemental coverage between control-grade field visits.

The problem

The map on the wall stopped matching the dirt weeks ago.

Most site decisions in Oklahoma get made off a plat from a prior owner, a topo that predates the last rain event, or a phone photo taken from the cab of a truck. None of them are measurable. When the plan and the ground disagree, nobody finds out until concrete is already moving.

  • Survey files that only one person on the project can open
  • Measuring distances and areas off a PDF and hoping
  • Design surfaces checked against ground truth that is months old
  • Re-mobilizing a field crew every time a question comes up
How Agriflyte solves it

One flight, one georeferenced basemap the whole team can measure on.

We fly a structured grid at 75–80% image overlap, tie the capture to ground control, and process it into a survey-referenced orthomosaic, a digital surface model, and a textured 3D mesh. You get one basemap that lines up with your design files and that anyone — PM, super, owner, engineer — can measure directly.

  • Automated grid mission planned to your site boundary
  • Ground control points and RTK positioning for absolute accuracy
  • Processing to orthomosaic + DSM + point cloud + textured mesh
  • Delivered in GeoTIFF, DXF, LAS and shareable web viewer formats

How it works

Four steps from your call to usable data.

  1. 1

    Scope the boundary

You send a parcel, an address or a KMZ. We plan the mission and confirm airspace before quoting.

  2. 2

    Set control

Ground control targets are placed and shot so the model is tied to real-world coordinates.

  3. 3

    Fly the grid

Automated overlapping capture, typically 30–45 minutes on site for a mid-size project.

  4. 4

    Process & deliver

Photogrammetric processing, QC against control, then delivery in the formats your team uses.

Photogrammetry & Mapping — questions

What people ask before they book this.

Something not covered here? Email deyan@agriflyte.com and you’ll get a real answer, not a brochure.

How accurate is drone photogrammetry compared to a ground survey?
With ground control points and RTK positioning, Agriflyte delivers 2–5 cm absolute accuracy and 1–3 cm ground sample distance — accurate enough for earthwork verification, progress measurement and design checks. For legal boundary determination you still need a licensed land surveyor; drone mapping supplements that work rather than replacing it.
What file formats do you deliver orthomosaic maps in?
Agriflyte delivers georeferenced GeoTIFF orthomosaics, digital surface models, classified LAS/LAZ point clouds, textured 3D meshes, and CAD-ready DXF linework. Coordinate systems include Oklahoma State Plane North and South, UTM Zone 14N and WGS84, so the data drops straight into your existing civil files.
How large an area can you map in one drone flight?
Agriflyte maps up to roughly 50 acres in a single 35-minute mission at typical mapping altitude and 80% image overlap. Larger sites are flown as multiple missions in the same visit and processed into one continuous orthomosaic, so you still receive a single basemap.
